SCENIC TOURS

Scenic Tours

Chimanimani has a lot to offer. Animal sanctuaries, waterfalls, mountains & valleys and of course the National Park.

Scenic Tours, Waterfalls & The Eland Sanctuary

School visits in the Chimanimani area
I can organize a day tour suited around your exact requests. We can visit the Eland Sanctuary, Bridal Veil Falls (and many other waterfalls), do a scenic drive loop through Chikukwa Village to Cashel Valley and return or we can mix it up and do all three.

You let me know how you would like to spend your day and I can make it happen. Start times can be negotiable and I will come direct to your accommodation to meet you at the designated time.

Want to swim in a waterfall and picnic just for lunch - no problem
“Nothing but breathing the air of Africa, and actually walking through it, can communicate the indescribable sensations.”

- William Burchell

Waterfall Tours

Bridal Veil waterfall is located inside the Eland Sanctuary only about 5kms from the village. We can walk from the village or if you like organise a car and drive. Its an easy walk and the water is a lovely swimming spot.

Another falls worth a visit is Muhohwa Falls which is in the north east corner of Chimanimani National Park. These are approximately 35 kms from the main Chimanimani village so we will need a car to visit these falls.

These waterfalls are also a great spot to take a plunge in the amazing pools and is also a great spot for a picnic lunch. Your accommodation may be able to prepare a lunch for you.

If you would prefer an overnight trip, we can hike into Chimanimani National Park which will allow us to visit more remote waterfalls in the pristine environment of the national park. See all about Hiking Trips Here.

Scenic Tours

Scenic Drives around the Chimanimani region do require a car. If you have your own vehicle we can use your car, or I can organize a car and driver for the day. A typical scenic drive passes by Chimanimani gap to Chikukwa Village, continuing on through Cashel Valley. We can return same way or do a loop around the area and back to Chimanimani.

The Eland Sanctuary

Many visitors expect the Eland Sanctuary to be an actual facility. It is however a national park that is for the preservation of Elands. Giant Elands are the largest antelope in Africa and in fact the world. Common Elands are slightly smaller but still second only to their giant cousins.
